This is still too early stage of the Regular Season in KBL and we should expect many changes in upcoming rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game in Ulsan was quite interesting. Egis (3-1) played at the court of Mobis Phoebus (1-3). Egis did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 86-68 on Saturday. KCC Egis made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. KCC Egis outrebounded Mobis Phoebus 39-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Shawn Long (208-1993, college: Louisiana, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. contributed with 24 points and 5 assists for the winners. American center Rayshaun Hammonds (206-1998, college: Georgia) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds for Mobis Phoebus. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Egis is looking forward to face Seoul Knights (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mobis Phoebus will play against Daegu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Seoul Thunders were beaten by Suwon KT on the road 74-66. Sono SG lost to defending champion LG Sakers on its own court 74-80. Wonju DB managed to outperform Daegu in a road game 80-70. Anyang managed to beat Seoul Knights at home 75-66.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 19 points and 9 assists by Junhyeong Byeon of Anyang.




Suwon KT - Seoul Thunders 74-66

No shocking result in a game when Sonicboom (3-2) beat Samsung Thunders (2-2) in Busan 74-66 on Thursday. Suwon KT outrebounded Seoul Thunders 40-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American center Isaiah Hicks (206-1994, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Turkish power forward Kerem Kanter (208-1995, college: Xavier) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Justin Gutang added 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for Seoul Thunders. Samsung Thunders' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sonicboom is looking forward to face LG Sakers in Changwon in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Samsung Thunders will play on the road against Anyang (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Sono SG - LG Sakers 74-80

Very expected game when Skygunners (2-3) lost to Sakers (3-1) in Daegu 74-80 on Friday. LG Sakers outrebounded Sono SG 39-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists. contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American center Isaiah Hicks (206-1994, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) answered with 24 points and the other American import power forward Nathan Knight (208-1997, college: William & Mary) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sono SG. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sakers is looking forward to face Suwon KT (#5) in Busan in the next round. Skygunners will play on the road against Daegu in Incheon and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.

Daegu - Wonju DB 70-80

Very predictable result when Wonju DB (3-1) won against Daegu (0-4) in Incheon 80-70 on Saturday. Wonju DB outrebounded Daegu 43-26 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wonju DB looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American center Henry Ellenson (208-1997, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Wonju DB players scored in double figures. The former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-1989, college: Missouri) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Daegu. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wonju DB will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Daegu will play on the road against Mobis Phoebus (#9) in Ulsan and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Anyang used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Seoul 75-66 on Saturday night. American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists and Youngjun An added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Seoul Knights. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Anyang is looking forward to face Seoul Thunders (#6) at home in the next round. Knights will play against KCC Egis and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
